As I was scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon this post (my apologies that I don't remember who posted it)
A lot of celebrities didn't "make" it until they were 40 years old either. Here are a few examples.
It really puts into perspective that we are all living our own life. I think that's the problem nowadays with people, especially in the social media era: we are constantly comparing ourselves to other people. And the irony is that those people are comparing themselves to YOU as well.
We're in a unique time period where we are comparing and judging each other based on successes and failures. When we see other people be at a different milestone that we haven't reached yet, we tend to go into panic mode (or a milestone we already achieved but tend to question if we're living life "too fast").
I'm guilty of this too. But I started to learn that everyone's lives aren't as pretty as they seem and there's a lot of things going on behind-the-scenes.
So the next time you're about to have an anxiety attack because you're not quite sure if you're on the right path, take a deep breath and remember that your path is unique -- just like everyone else's path.
The question is this: Can you recognize the difference between carving out a unique path with hard work vs. going with the flow and telling yourself "what is meant to be, will be"?
Every situation is different, but it's important you can recognize the difference.
