I recently had the privilege of presenting alongside 3x Pro Bowler Todd Gurley from the Los Angeles Rams and Super Bowl Champion Malcolm Mitchell from the New England Patriots. We spent the day in Atlanta talking about something that doesn’t get enough attention: the power of making tough things enjoyable.
“Edu-tainment” is becoming essential. But what is it?
It’s the idea of educating through entertainment: using play, interaction, and creativity to help people actually absorb what you’re teaching instead of just hearing it.
So here’s a question worth asking yourself:
What kind of culture are you building within your team?
Are your meetings the kind people need three cups of coffee just to stay awake for?
Or are you intentionally creating an atmosphere where people have fun, feel engaged, and learn at the same time?
Here’s a simple challenge for your next meeting: Start with a quick round of Pictionary before you “officially” begin. You’ll immediately lift the energy in the room, spark creativity, and notice a dramatic difference when it’s time to transition into the business conversation.
Fun isn’t the opposite of productivity. Most of the time it’s the catalyst.
